Hey Stampin' Friends!
Welcome to our new video series for scrapbooking called...
Scrapped!
Each month the Scrapped! Stampers will share a video using Stampin' UP! products to give you tips and tricks on Scrapbooking! Once a week a new video will be released and I am the first one to share! As the videos are available on YouTube, I will add them to this blog post! They will be released each Thursday (so be sure to come back to see them all)!
April Episode 1: Meet My Family
April theme is to introduce our families and our style of scrapbooking.
I am an old/new scrapper! I made some albums years ago and fell behind once the world became more digital. So I am sharing with you, SIMPLE Pocket Albums using the Memories & More Cards.
I use Stampin' UP!'s Basic Black 6" x 8" album with the Variety Pack Photo Pocket Pages
(visit my online store to see more details on both).
For this project I am using the Remember This Moment Memories & More Card Pack.
These are precut cards with beautiful designs that allow journaling and color coordinate!
Basically, I print photos and slide them into the photo pockets and pair them with the cards!
Easy right?!
My first project is all about my oldest daughter, Brooklyn, who is serving a church mission in the Boston Massachusetts area for the last 16 months (she has only 2 more months until she comes home).
For this first page, I cut some Cajun Craze cardstock to 6" x 8" and added one large photo, gave the photo a matte, and then die cut letters. I used a stamp set for some very faint background stamping behind her photo image.
I can't believe I was able to use the Mini Alphabet Dies to spell out the 13 letter Massachusetts!
They were the perfect size. The top letters that spell Boston are from a retired die set.
*Tip: Use Adhesive sticker sheets when die cutting letters for easy attaching.
Be mindful of the "flip" side when using Photo Pocket Pages. When I used the 6" x 8" photo pocket I knew would need to design the flip side. For Brooklyn's I added her mission map, a photo of her with the state flag and left her some journaling space.

The most IMPORANT part of scrapbooking is to tell the story!
On this page we went and got her toe nails done for the last time, for a long time.
This photo page has a 4" x 6" on the top and two 3" x 4" on the bottom. I slipped in the Memories & More card for color and for the saying. Then I wanted to add one more photo. My photo was too big for the pocket. What I like to do it place the Photo Pocket over the photo and see exactly where I want to place it to cut it. Mark the photo with a pencil line and take it to your paper trimmer!
For the page across from the nail spa photos are photos when she first started as a missionary.
She took a photo with the Stake President and his wife (photo on top) and with her family (bottom photo).
I would like to introduce you to my family!
I have two sons (Lincoln the taller one and Hudson in the suit) and two daughters (Avonlea, who is finishing her first year of college and Brooklyn). The tall one is my husband, Cameron! This was a BIG day for us as a family. She is our first missionary from our children and is leading by example. This photo is so important so we can compare how everyone (especially the growing boys) have changed while she is gone.
I am LOVING my first attempts after years of not scrapping! If I can do it, you can totally do it! Start with some simple products and get started today!
