Supplies:

·       Stamp Sets: Gathering Moments (165970)

·       Card Stock and Paper: Cajun Craze (CS) (119684); Pretty Peacock (150880); Basic Beige (164511); Crumb Cake (120953);

·       Stamp Pads: Pretty Peacock (150083); Crumb Cake (147116); Cajun Craze (147085)

·       Tools: Gathering Moments Dies (165979); Textured Notes Dies (165555); Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder (165983); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

·       Miscellaneous: Cajun Craze & Gold Dots (165984); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813), Mini Glue Dots (103683); Early Espresso & Old Olive Linen Thread Pack (165986)

Measurements:

·       Basic Beige: 4 ¼” x 11” scored @ 5 ½”, 2 ½” x 1” (die cut)

·       Pretty Peacock: 3” x 5”

·       Crumb Cake: 5” x 4”

·       Cajun Craze: 1” x 2”

·       Early Espresso Linen Thread: About 14 inches

Instructions:

1.     Measure, score, and cut your paper.

2.     Die cut the large oak leaf with Crumb Cake cardstock. Then emboss it with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder. Use a Sponge Dauber or Blending Brush with Crumb Cake and go along the edges.

3.     Die cut the Pretty Peacock with the second largest Textured Notes Dies. Stamp with Pretty Peacock with the gingham like stamp randomly to create a background (about 4 times).

4.     Die cut the smallest Textured Notes Die with Basic Beige cardstock and stamp with Pretty Peacock onto it the saying “thankful for you”.

5.     Stamp with Cajun Craze onto Cajun Craze paper the leaf and die cut it out.

6.     Assemble: Attach the Pretty Peacock onto the cardbase at a slant. Using just 2 Stampin’ Dimensionals (top of leaf and bottom), attach the embossed leaf. Use a glue dot behind the Cajun Craze leaf and slide it under the Crumb Cake leaf. Put a little adhesive on the back of the stitched rectangle and attach the linen thread behind it. Use Dimensionals to attach the rectangle.

7.     Embellish with 3 Cajun Craze & Gold Dots.

*Extra: Stamp the gingham image in the inside bottom corner of the card with Pretty Peacock and then stamp the Cajun Craze leaf covering some of that.

***Tip: Wrap the Linen Thread two times around 3 of your fingers and pinch in the middle to make a figure 8.

Stampin' UP! Craft Along One Sheet Wonder

Stampin' UP! Hosted an online event for their Independent Demonstrators featuring page #42 of the New Mini Catalog (coming out September 3rd).
We made 6 cards from a 12" x 12" DSP One Sheet, know as, One Sheet Wonder!
Each card featured a different technique and showed how to use other items to "finish" the card and create the layout.

Below are the cards I made using the Spooky Sweet Specialty DSP (it is specialty because it includes colored die cut images).

Card #1- Blending Brush

Card number 1 featured coloring the DSP with a Blending Brush. I used Pumpkin Pie ink with the Blending Brush on my DSP.

Card #2- Stampin' Blends

Card number 2 showed how you can color your DSP with Stampin' Blends. I choose 3 colors and colored around the windows.

Card #3- Fussy Cutting

Card number 3 showed how you can fussy cut out an image from the DSP to make it the made focus of the card. I cut out two of the windows and loved this look.

Card #4- Use Large Die

Card number 4 was to use a large die and cut out an image from the DSP. I couldn't find a die that would work, so I just used the die cuts from the DSP for my big image. But you can see the layout change with the DSP as well.

Card # 5- Stamp Directly onto DSP

For card number 5 I varied and wasn't about to stamp on the DSP but I used the same layout from the One Sheet Wonder.

Card #6- Dress up the Card

For card number 6 you were supposed to dress up the card with Stampin' Blends but I choose to dress it up with Heat Embossing. I also added an extra color to make it really stand out (post it note inspired).

This was such a fun event to attend and I would love to help you design your own One Sheet Wonder! Using the measurements below and shopping from my online store!
