A Jar of Flowers Easel Card

An easel card is a great way to make a card "pop" with ease! I made two different styles using the Jar of Flowers stamp set by ©Stampin' UP!

This card features a monochromatic color scheme. Where I used Night of Navy and Whisper White as the theme and with just a little bit of color from the linen thread and Crumb Cake label.

This card I added a little bit of color using my Stampin' Blends and I flipped the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper over to get this wooden look.

Easel Cards can stand up all by them selves and is great way to display on a table or desk.

I made this Easel card on my Facebook page, The Joy of Stampin' with Rachael for Fun Fold Friday using the Jar of Flowers stamp set from ©Stampin' UP!. You can make this card too by watching the video and following the directions below and buying all the supplies from my online store. Online Store: https://joyofstampinrachael.stampinup.net

Measurements

Card Base: 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4

Layers: Night of Navy cardstock 4 x 5 1/4, DSP 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
Inside: Whisper White 3 7/8 x 5 1/8, DSP 3 7/8 x 1 3/4, strip of cardstock 1/4 x 3 7/8

Steps
  1. Cut and score all your paper and cut out die pieces out with die cutting machine.
  2. Stamp your images onto the Stitched Nested Whisper White cut out with either the Night of Navy or Memento Ink. Color the Memento Ink image with Stampin' Blends.
  3. Using liquid glue (Tombow) attach your cardstock layer with your DSP for the card front. Also glue your Whisper White to the inside of the card base with the DSP layer on the bottom and the strip at the top of the DSP (can attach with dimensionals see video).
  4. Attach the rectangle die with the nested image with liquid glue and then use dimensionals to attach to the card front. Tie a bow with linen thread and use glue dot to attach to the jar. Use the classic label punch on some Crumb Cake and stamp image (I used words from Someone Special stamp set, but use whatever will fit). Attach with mini dimensionals and add rhinestone to the end of the label.
  5. Use tear and tape at the bottom of your card base only under you 2 3/4 score line. Then attach your card front to the card base! Use Bone fold to help with score lines and you have created an easel card! Prop it up and see how it looks!
Happy Stampin' Everyone!
