Throwback Thursday is going way back today! This is a card I made for my very first Demo Swap in 2014! I was so proud of it. Up to that time I was a very, very beginner stamper. I didn't know much about stamping (I still don't) but loved doing it anyway. After going to a Stampin' UP! Convention I had learned so much from other demos on how to make cards look better. Just about everything on this card is retired except that good old linen thread (still a favorite). Let me walk you through why I loved this card.
1) I used 2 embossing folders! That polka dot one was my 1st ever one to get and loved it. I still have it!
2) That scalloped border punch (one of my first punches). When it retired I nearly cried. It was such a staple in many of my designs.
3) See those 3 different colors? I stamped it 3 times and fussy cut out the words and glued them over the Crumb Cake one.
4) It is hard to see, but I used the Crystal Effects over the "make" and it has a glossy shine to it!
These are all very basic skills but I had learned them and used them in this swap! I don't know if I could ever send this card away!
This card was made over 6 years ago!! It was my first really nice card that I was proud of!
I was so proud of the texture!
Can you see the crystal effects on the make?? It was so fancy!
Happy Stampin' Everyone!
