Miss Monday- Flower & Field Birthday Cards

For today's Miss Monday cards I used the Sale-a-bration Flower & Field Designer Series Paper. This paper you can get for free during Sale-a-bration when you order $50 worth of Stampin' UP! products. I also use a hostess stamp set, Punch Party, which is a stamp set you can get for free with a $300 order or party total when you host.

With these cards I wanted to show how you could make a "causal" card into an "avid" card with just simple changes. Both I used the die cut and flip method. Where I die cut out the center shape and flipped it over and pieced it back into its spot. This shows off both sides of the DSP.

Causal Stamper Card
A causal crafter is one level above a beginner. A beginner uses just paper, stamps, and ink. A causal stamp starts to collect tools like punches but doesn't have "everything" yet. They are more selective in their purchases and usually only buy what they will use for a certain project. This card I used the rectangle dies, but left off the embellishments and extra layers.

Avid Stamper Card
An Avid stamper has a whole craft room of supplies at their disposable and uses lots of tools, embellishments, and different techniques. I added an extra layer to this card, the ribbon, and used clear embossing powder to make my black ink shine!

I also stamped in the inside and colored those flowers with my Stampin' Blends.

The inside of this card has an awesome saying! It says, "Sending you smiles for every moment of your special day."

It is very subtle but I've used clear embossing powder to make the Happy Birthday really shine! I love clear embossing powder because it can make any ink look embossed.

You can make this card too when you order from me and follow the directions below.

Measurements
Just Jade Cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4
DSP: 4 x 5 1/4
Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4

Steps
  1. Measure, score, and cut your paper.
  2. Die cut your stitched rectangle from the center of your DSP having the center image you want facing up.
  3. Causal: Flip the outer DSP and glue to your card base.
  4. Stamp "Happy Birthday" onto a smaller stitched rectangle in Just Jade and glue to the center of the card.
  5. Stamp on your Basic White and glue to the inside of your cardbase.
  6.  Avid: Die cut an extra Just Jade rectangle just one size bigger than you did for the center piece of the DSP. Glue together.
  7. Attach ribbon and a bow around that center piece. Then use dimensionals to attach to the cardbase.
  8. Stamp in memento ink on a Just Jade stitched rectangle and use clear embossing powder and heat tool to make it shine. Attach with dimensionals.
  9. Stamp on your Basic White and color in the flowers and leaves with your Stampin' Blends. Glue to the inside of your cardbase.

Happy Stampin' Everyone!!!
