Wednesday's Kit Class- Friends Are Like Seashells

Today's Wednesday's Kit class was inspired by my team member who loves this stamp set, but wanted to see it in something other than just pastel colors. So I took on her challenge and created these 3 cards, all which are inspired by other demos but I've add my own personal touches. Crumb Cake Cardbase

This card features the classic, clean beach look. It is crisp and cool! This card would make for a great home décor' item. 

Measurements

Crumb Cake Cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4

Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4

Steps

1. Measure, score, and cut your paper.
2. Die cut a Stitched Rectangle our of Basic White.
3. Using your blending brush or sponge, color the top with Bermuda Bay and the bottom with Crumb cake. 
4. Stamp in Soft Suede the little pebbles/sand and the Birthday greeting. 
5. Die cut out in Basic White the shells, then stamp them in Crumb Cake and emboss. Fussy cut them free and ink up the edges with Soft Suede.
6. Emboss the 4 x 5 1/4 of Basic White and attach to card base. 
7. Wrap linen thread around the Stitched Rectangle twice and attach the seashells with dimensionals. 
8. Attach the whole rectangle to the cardbase. 

Bermuda Bay Cardbase

This card uses bright colors and has the embossed Basic Black to help give it a huge contrast. If you look closely you can see the Subtle Embossing folder was used over the seashell background. 

Measurements

Bermuda Bay Cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4

Bermuda Bay: 4 x 5 1/4

Mango Melody: 3 1/4 x 1 7/8

Steps

1. Measure, score, and cut your paper. 
2. Stamp in Bermuda Bay all over the Bermuda Bay to create a seashell background. Then emboss it with the subtle embossing folder. 
3. Heat emboss Basic Black with the White embossing powder after you've die cut out the "sand dollar" shape. Attach with dimensionals the black & white trim (from Playful Pets combo pack) to the back of the embossed shape. 
4. Stamp on a Stitched Rectangle Basic White with Mango Melody. Then glue to the Mango Melody cardstock. 
5. Assemble the card with glue and dimensionals and use the bone folder to help you with your crease.

Basic White Cardbase

This seashell card is all about the sparkle. From the Opal Rounds to the Mesh ribbon!

Measurements

Basic White Cardbase: 4 1/4 x 11 scored @ 5 1/2

Bermuda Bay: 4 x 5 1/4

6 inches of Mesh Ribbon

Steps

1. Measure, score and cut paper.
2. Emboss with the Seashells Embossing Folder the Bermuda Bay.
3. Die cut labels in Basic White and Mango Melody from the Tasteful Label Dies. 
4. Stamp in Bermuda Bay on the Basic White Label. 
5. Emboss the Mango Melody label with the Subtle Embossing Folder and use ink around the edges.
6. Wrap the Mesh Ribbon around the embossed Bermuda Bay and glue down to your cardbase. 
7. Attach labels over the mesh ribbon with dimensionals. 
8. Make a bow out of the Costal Cabana ribbon from the Playing with Patterns combo pack.
9. Embellish with the Opal Rounds.
