Throwback Thursday- Graduation Cards

It is just about that time of year again, the time to make and spend out Graduation cards! These ones I made for an order and LOVE how they turned out. They used so many (like almost everything) retired items. The Grad could be replaced with the year instead using the Large Number Dies (retired).

Retired Items Used
Celebrate You Dies
Large Letters Dies
Star Embossing Folder
Tufted Embossing Folder
Paper Pumpkin Stamp set (you did it)
Celebrate Today Stamp set (for the tassle)
Gold Glimmer Paper

Here are some quick secrets from this card
  1. For the tassel I couldn't find the dies that went with the stamp set and so instead I stamped the tassel on the back of the gold foil paper and fussy cut it out!!! So clever right?
  2. The cap is just a 1 inch by 1 inch piece of Basic Black.
  3. I punched out the "you did it" twice with the Classic Label punch to make it the size that I wanted. You just stick one end back into from the front instead of sliding the whole paper through.

It is hard to see in photos the embossed stars on the black and the tufted on the white but it really does add so much to the card.

I hope you love today's throwback to the past and try to make this card in your favorite Grad's colors! :)
OR if you don't have these retired items, let me know and I can whip you up an order!

Happy Stampin' Everyone!!!
