Miss Monday- Hand-Penned Petals Black & White Card

 

Miss Monday Card with a Black & White only theme! For a team swap our challenge was to make a card where black & white was the main idea about the card. I could have added a pop of color but I took it to the extreme and used only black & white. 

I did too different ones just by changing the ribbon. Which do you prefer? White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon  or Black & White Gingham Ribbon?

I used the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and the Sweet As A Peach stamp set.

Measurements

Basic Black Cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4

2 Basic White: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8

DSP: 4 x 5 1/4

Steps

1. Measure, score, and cut your paper. 
2. Stamp in Versamark onto your Basic Black the flower image and coat with the white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool. 
3. Die cut that flower out. 
4. Die cut your Stitched So Sweetly shape in Basic White and stamp on the bottom of it the "Happy Birthday". 
5. Stamp on one of the Basic Whites the greeting for the inside and in the corner another flower image. Glue to the inside of the cardbase. 
6. Glue the DSP to the Basic White and then attach the ribbon to the back of it and then glue to the cardbase. 
7. Attach the scalloped rectangle with dimensionals and the die cut flower with dimensionals. 
8. Tie a bow and use a glue dot to attach to the ribbon.
