Nuts About Squirrels Waterfall Card

I am so excited to share with you this swap I made as part of a Leader's Swap. I always try my best when making swaps, but this one I wanted to really impress these other super star stampers and have them see my name and think great of me! However, making swaps with brand new product can be tricky with little inspiration out there yet using that stamp set. So this layout isn't new, but this card design was 100% me!

Here are all 10 swaps ready to go using the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set!

Because this is a Waterfall card I have photos of each squirrel position once you start to pull the string.
Here is the first squirrel.

Here is the 2nd squirrel plus the "Hey There!"

Here is the 3rd squirrel. Same as the first but I only have him showing a little bit and included a branch and leaves too.

Last panel has the cute "Nuts about you!" a fallen leaf and reveals the Happy Birthday on the pull out part.

You can make this card as a full card by just attaching it to a cardbase. My video below shows just the card front version and does not open up.

4 Basic White: 1 3/4 x 1 3/4
4 Early Espresso: 2 x 2
Old Olive: 4 1/4 x 1
Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4

Steps
  1. Measure, score, and cut your paper.
  2. Stamp on all 4 squares of Basic White 4 different squirrel images with Early Espresso Ink. Use the Crumb Cake or the Pumpkin Pie ink to stamp the "color in" part of the squirrel. The leaves are stamped in Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Cajun Craze.
  3. Glue the squares Early Espresso mattes.
  4. Emboss your Cajun Craze with the Bark embossing folder and glue onto the cardbase front.
  5. Attach the Old Olive strip with just adhesive on both ends ONLY (leave center clear) and place it about 3/4 the way down on the card.
  6. On the end of your Crumb Cake punch a hole and cover with the Tailored Tags circle. Tie some bakers twine at the bottom. Stamp your "Happy Birthday" near the top and right under the score line.
  7. Attach the squirrels starting with the bottom one first to the Crumb Cake, just below the first score. Continue with each squirrel.
  8. Slide the Crumb Cake waterfall piece through the Old Olive strip and glue the bottom of the last squirrel panel to the Old Olive center.
  9. Stamp on your Basic White and then glue to the inside.
  10. Lastly, embellish with a gem on each side of the Old Olive strip. ***See video to help with any part that is hard to understand for a better visual.
