This card is so much fun with the 3 stamped deer jumping along the front. The DSP makes for an easy back ground in the traditional Christmas colors.
Be sure to stamp your own winter scene inside the card as well. I stamped in all one ink color and it really adds to the fun of this card.

Scrap of Basic White for Deer Punching
Steps
- Measure, score, and cut your paper.
- Stamp in Sahara Sand 3 deer onto Basic White and punch them out.
- Die cut a label from the Messages Dies and stamp in Garden Green "It's the best time of year".
- Stamp in Garden Green on the Basic White for the inside.
- Use that Basic White inside for your "size guide" to glue your DSP together (see video).
- Attach the sheer ribbon to the back of DSP and glue down to the front of the card.
- Tie a knot bow to the ribbon.
- Attach the deer with glue and one with dimensionals.
- Attach label with dimensionals.
- Glue the Basic White to the inside of the card.
This card is a great "leftover" card. I can't tell you how many scraps I have after I make cards with Designer Series Paper. Instead of throwing them away, make a whole new beautiful card with them.
The DSP deer on this card was punched out. But it was punched out backwards!!! Watch my video to see how!
Measurements
Thick Basic White Cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4
DSP: 4 1/4 x 1
4 1/4 x 3/4
4 1/4 x 1/2
Be Dazzling: 4 1/4 x 1/4
Basic White: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Steps
- Measure, score, and cut your paper.
- Cut at least 2 of each size of your DSP (you'll need 7 total and 2 Be Dazzling).
- Glue the dsp onto your Basic White 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Glue 4 on the top and 5 from the bottom and leave a gap where the white shows.
- Stamp in Memento Ink where the white gap shows.
- To punch out the deer you'll need to hold the DSP to the light and trace the deer image through the back. Punch it out using that outline (see video).
- Attach the deer with dimensionals.
I LOVE how simple this card is. I love how the trees on the paper match so nicely with the stamped trees and the simple message it shares. If there was a "manly" Christmas card this could be it.
Be sure to add more to the card by stamping on the inside. I stamped a little bunny and the saying "from all of us" but you could add another tree. This stamp set comes with 4 different tree images.
Measurements
Basic Black Cardbase: 4 1/4 x 11 scored @ 5 1/2
DSP: 4 x 5 1/4
Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4
Basic Black: 3 3/8 x 2 1/4
Steps
- Measure, score, and cut your paper.
- Die cut from Basic White a Stitched So Sweetly rectangle.
- Stamp on the rectangle in Garden Green.
- Stamp on the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White on the corner a black bunny or green tree. Stamp the "from all of us" in green.
- Assemble: Glue your DSP to the card front. Glue the rectangle to the Basic Black and attach with dimenionals. Use your SEAL adhesive and glue the inside white piece.
