Onstage at Home Queens Retreat

This year for Onstage at Home (a Stampin' UP! convention online) the Queens of the Stamp Age (Brandi Barnard) organized a Retreat in Herriman Utah for her team members! Below are photos of the crafts, gifts, the home, and friends! This event is just what my little stamping heart needed as it had been 2 years since I had been able to meet with these friends!

Wizard of Oz Theme
What is an event without a theme? Brandi chose the Wizard of Oz to be the amazing theme for this event and so I rolled with it and made my swaps and gifts to match! Also, a team member, Caroline Frederickson did all of the decorating! Each bedroom had a name and the roommates got to decorate their doors and rooms.

Here is my Rainbow "Wow" card! This one has a "secret message" inside and you can learn how to make this Fun Fold over here.

This I made for the 3D swap. I really wanted to use a mini bucket (found on amazon) because that is what killed the witch in the Wizard of Oz and the cute mini bucket could be used to store your multipurpose glue upside down. So I just attached a cute rainbow (which matched my card) and made it a rain bucket holding yummy skittles and a skittles drink.

I volunteered to help make tags for a gift that would be given out at the retreat and made 40 of these Wicked Witch Slipper Tags. That is 40 pairs of shoes, 80 legs, and 400 stripes on the tights worth of work!

To Make Tags I used:
Paper Basic Black, Granny Apple, Basic White & Poppy Parade cardstock
Dies- All Dressed Up, Layering Circles, & Frightful Tags (for the Witch's hat)
I just printed off the saying and used my bone folder to curl it.

Stamping Projects
We had stamping night activities and Stamp & Share with Stampin' UP! at Onstage.

Friday Night Stamping
Two team members paired up and created a class using the Early Release stamp set and 2 of the stamps we were able to get as Onstage Attendees.

In the Moment Stamp Set

Visit my blog post to see how to make both of these cards here

This stamp set will be available in the new Mini Catalog in January but can order early as a Demonstrator in December.

Eden's Garden Card & Card Holder

We made this card using versamark, sponge daubers and the soft pastel assortment for this fun technique.
Card Box holder made with the Eden Dies

You can order this bundle now Eden's Garden as part of an Early Release item.

Blessings of Home Cards

This is another stamp set that was available to those who attended Onstage and will be available in January 2022. Kasia taught us how to used the Linen Paper and color pencils to create this beauty.

Ashley designed this one with a fun splatter look and we used a sponge dauber to color in the flowers.

Saturday Night Stamping
Lynda Day taught us this night how to make a fun home décor banner with the Memories and More packet and without stamping!

This was such a fun project to make and we just used some of the Border Dies and Stitched Rectangle Dies to create great shapes! I would love to do a online or in person class and help you make this banner too!

Onstage Stamping
We got to stamp along with Shannon West from Stampin' UP! to create these beautiful cards below using the Blessings of Home stamp set as part of the Stamp & Share experience. We were told the measurements and papers to use and assembled them together!

I just loved how they turned out!

This one is a notecard size.

This one really features the beautiful DSP coming out soon as well! One of the perks of being a Stampin' UP! demonstrator is that we get to play/order with all the new products first.

Swaps
We were able to make swaps for this event. I made a Wow card and 3D card (see above) and I got some of the most amazing cards back.  More photo and links to swaps coming soon!

Gifts
At the Queens Retreat each night Brandi would give us fabulous pillow gifts. Then also we could get roommate gifts, secret sister gifts, and even just friend gifts! It was a very giving time and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it all back into my suitcase and onto the plane.

Just a circle of friends wearing their matching ruby red slippers!

Here is the first day basket and was waiting for us in our room full of goodies. A personalized cup, snacks (lemon drops), a witch facemask, Team T-shirt and more! We truly were spoiled and this basket set up the excitement for the whole event! The beautiful name tags were made by two team members and were just the perfect touch!
Inside of basket

T-shirt design, by our own team member!

My Queen's Cup!

On our beds the first night were our very own slippers with some "ding dongs" which went perfect with the tags I made!

The second night we found this beautiful frame with a line from the song from The Wizard of Oz, Somewhere Over the Rainbow!

The last night we found a beautiful little box and inside was a tiara bracelet to remind us that we are Queens.

Secret Sister, Roommates, & Friends Gifts

Here are my Secret Sister Gifts that I got! For two of the nights, right after Onstage ended, we did a secret sister gift exchange. Everyone brought a gift that was one of their favorite things and then we put our name on a stick and would draw to see who got what. I got this beautiful hummingbird notebook from my friend Vivi and the Scentsy flower from my friend Ashley. Both are wonderful and go nicely together! I brought for mine 4 bags of different flavored M&M's with a Movie Theater gift card. Then the other gift I brought was just a small bag of some of my favorite things: silly post it notes, chocolate, scented nail polish, rainbow pen, and chapstick!

My roommate makes freeze dried candy and gave me Skittles and Laughy Taffys. They are so fun and good!

My friend, Lynda Day, made and gave this cute DSP notepad clip board to me! I just love it!

Here is my gift from Brandi for helping make those 40 tags! I cute, cute Dorothy apron, lemon drops, red rhinestones, gingham ribbon, and the Brick Embossing Folder!

Friends

Here is our crazy group of Stampers! We are even missing a few in this photo but this is a great image of ladies who love to stamp and have fun together. Can you spot me?

Here is a photo of my upline, sideline, and my team!
Marjeen, Melanie, Lynette, Ashley (baby Autumn) and me!

My team currently consists of 15 of us and I was lucky to have two of them attend this fun Retreat! I loved getting to know them better and share this experience with them!

Here is Brandi and I on the first day (she is the mastermind of this whole event) and she was giving me a beautiful gift for helping out with those Ding Dong tags for the ruby slippers!

Roommates
When signing up for the event they asked if I wanted to pick my roommates and I said "I love everyone, give me whoever you want!" I was super happy to be rooming with 4 lovely ladies!

I gave my roommates Munchkin socks so we could match on Saturday. Our room name was The Lollipop Guild and so it only seemed fit to dress up too!

Here is our fun door! We also decorated the whole room with suckers and candy images BUT I totally forgot to get a picture of all of those!

We were originally going to have 5 ladies in one room, but one couldn't make it (her husband was sick in the hospital) and the other one not in this image left early and we didn't get to get a fun photo with her.
Home Decorations
We stayed in a 9000 square foot home with a hot tub, threater room, 9 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 3 laundry rooms and 3 living rooms! This house was AMAZING but what it even more special was the effort that was put in to decorate it! These photos are to share just for fun and could give you ideas if you ever wanted to throw a Wizard of Oz party!

This home had the BEST views in Utah!

Front Door décor. "Where troubles melt like lemon drops" door mat and a handmade ribbon burlap wreath greets us!

Wreath close up and made by Caroline (she did all the decorating).

Of course Toto was there!

And Dorothy too!

Cute movie quotes through out the house.

Love this sign!

All we had to do is fall the yellow brick road with our friends to watch Onstage at Home! There we learned so much about stamping and ourselves!

Downstairs was the Witch, Witch room!

You got to pick if you were a good witch or...

a bad witch!

Saturday night I was a bad witch and stayed up late with our "spa night" treatments!
Somewhere over the rainbow we found the Munchkin Land!

It was full of everything sweet!

I hope you have enjoy reading all about my experience and hope you can join me next time as a member of my Stampin' UP! Team! November is a great time to join for only $75 (usually $99)!!!

Just click your heels 3 times, and click here to join my team!

Happy Stampin' Everyone!!!
