Tuesday's Tip at Ten- Ribbon Holding Photo

Tuesday's Tip at Ten comes with a story. First the tip!
This card was made by a friend swapper (all the items are mostly retired now) and to have the ribbon wrapped around through is not my style at all. I usually keep the ribbon hidden HOWEVER, through my story (below) you'll see why it was perfect just the way it was!

I was able to slide in a family photo to this thank you card by putting it behind the ribbon.

Story Time
Last week my husband and boys went on a 3 day Back Packing trip across the island here in California called Santa Catalina. This island we can see from our backyard and they have wanted to go visit it for years now. Well, after day one of their trip they discovered it was a lot harder then they had thought and they didn't know how they were going to continue the next 2 days with all the weight they had to carry. They went to bed praying for strength and was just at a lost for what they could do and still finish. That morning as they were preparing to go a kind local lady starting chatting with them and offered to lighten their load for their first 4 miles and would meet them at the Airport (which is was the top of the hike). They only had to carry their water and a day pack and was completely refreshed. Then when they met with her again she said, "Give me everything you don't need and I'll meet with you at your hotel on your last day." Sure enough she took their snorkel gear, dirty clothes, and hatchet (all heavy items). My husband called me up that night to tell me this answer to their prayer and the first thing he said to me was "I need you to bring a Thank You card." After hearing his story, I completely agreed that she needed one so we could express how truly grateful we were. I joined them after their last day on the hike and was able to meet this sweet lady, Kathleen, and the first thing she said when she saw me was "you look so familiar!" I slide in the family photo (an old copy of one) just so she knew just how truly grateful we were and would never forget us. She LOVED it!
