Fun Fold Friday- Reach for the Stars Rocket Spinner Card

As soon as I saw this set, I knew I wanted to make this style of spinner card! Because what is more cool than a rocket that spins!!!

The Reach for the Stars Dies come with a set of layering circles in different sizes. That is what I used to make the "track". In fact, these dies are the only circle (non-stitched) dies Stampin' Up! has now in their catalog!

Be sure to stamp the inside with one of the "finish sayings".  The front says "Greetings Friend" and you can finish that saying with one of the 3 remaining.
"You're Stellar."
"Reach for the Stars."
or
"If I had a star for every time you brightened my day, I'd have an entire galaxy."

Be careful of the embellishments you have on the front. Do not use dimensionals to attach them with. They will just in the way of the rocket if they are raised too high.
I kept the rocket simple but have seen people color the rocket or even stamp it on the Holographic paper.

I did use white embossing powder for the "Greetings Friend" because it makes the BEST solid white on black look.

I made my own embellishments with the stars from the Reach for the Stars die set and the Holographic Specialty Paper.

The flames are one of the coolest parts of this rocket. That is what it makes it look like it is in motion. I used the color combo or Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, and Blackberry Bliss.

Use this product list to shop from my online store so you can make this card too!

*Basic White & Basic Black  cardstock

Measurements
Blackberry Bliss Cardbase: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored @ 4 1/4"
Basic Black: 4" x 5 1/4"
2" x 2"
DSP: 3 3/4" x 5"
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4
3" x 4" (rocket)
Scraps of Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, & Blackberry Bliss for flames

Steps
  1. Measure, score, and cut your paper.
  2. Stamp the rocket onto to Basic White with the Basic Gray ink and die cut it out.
  3. Stamp on the Basic White with the Blackberry Bliss the inside greeting. Emboss on the bottom the bubble shapes. Glue to the inside of the cardbase.
  4. Die cut the flames, the Holographic stars, and the planet. Attach the flames to the rocket.
  5. Glue the DSP to the Basic Black and die cut out the center with the largest circle and the 3rd largest circle.
  6. Attach the DSP/Basic Black to the cardbase with dimensionals (see video to see how I place them). Attach the center circle with dimensionals.
  7. Cut the edges off of a dimensional (make it more of a circle shape) and make a penny sandwich with it.
  8. Attach the rocket with a dimensional to the penny sandwich.
  9. Glue the planet and stars around the largest circle (keep the center clear).
  10. Heat emboss on the 2" x 2"  Basic Black with the white embossing powder, Versamark and Heat Tool and fussy cut out the saying. Glue that saying to the bottom right of the card.
