Fun Fold Friday- DSP Pinwheel Card

Today I am sharing with you the 6 x 6 DSP Pinwheel Card inspired by Karen Titus using the Zany Zoo stamp set and the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper.

This card has a fun origami like front made out of Stampin' UP!'s 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper from my online store. Once the pinwheel is opened, it reveals a fun bonus section for a secret message and image .

How to make the DSP Pinwheel

Step 1: Cut or use 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper and score all sides @ the 1 1/2 mark.

Step 2: Cut off and remove the 4 corner squares. Cut on the score lines.
*Should look like a plus sign.

Step 3: Crease the score lines with a Bone Folder and fold down the right corner of each flap. Fold the corner to the score line to create a triangle.

Step 4: Flip over the paper and lay one side down at a time into the center, overlapping the one folded down before it. Tuck in the last side under the first one you laid into the center. This will hold it close.
*Think of how you close a cardboard box if you don't have tape.

I just love the inside and this cute raccoon. This balloon holding raccoon is part of the Zoo Crew DSP but can also be made by stamping the image, die cutting it, and coloring it. You can order all of the supplies from my online store using the images below.

Measurements
Lemon Lime Twist: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Basic White: 4 x" 5 1/4"
2 3/4" x 2 3/4"
Berry Burst: 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
DSP: 6" x 6" scored @ 1 1/2" on all 4 sides

Steps
  1. Measure, score, and cut your paper.
  2. Follow the Pinwheel steps from above.
  3. Stamp in Memento Black the greeting onto the Basic White bottom right corner. Use the Lemon Lime Twist ink to stamp the confetti. Attach Basic White to the Lemon Lime Twist.
  4. Stamp onto the 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" Basic White the balloon raccoon and the "happy birthday". Color the balloons or die cut the DSP that has it already pre-colored. Glue the Basic White square to the inside of the pinwheel.
  5. Glue the DSP pinwheel to the Berry Burst matte and glue that to the Basic White (top center).
  6. Fold up the pinwheel to hide the inside and send to a friend!
