Team Kit of the Month- Pick of the Patch

The Team Kit & Stamp Set of the month uses the Pick of the Patch Bundle!
I can't tell you how much I love how these turned out! I was inspired a lot by Pinterest. Each card shows off different ways to use the punch or stamps.

Stacked Pumpkins
Punch Pumpkin Patch
Two Tone Pumpkins
Designer Series Paper Pumpkin

You can get this kit for FREE when you order the Pick of the Patch stamp set from me in September.
Just visit my online store by clicking on the images below.

Supplies
*Missing from supplies, Them Bones Designer Series Paper

Because the Pick of the Patch stamp set is Photopolymer it can be seen through it while you stamp, which makes for easy pumpkin stacking!

Just a little fussy cutting and some Heat Embossing but this card is mostly stamping.

Measurements
Daffodil Delight Cardbase: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored @ 4 1/4"
Basic White: 4" x 5 1/4"
2" x 2"
Garden Green: 3" x 2"

Steps
  1. Measure, score, and cut your paper.
  2. Die cut in Garden Green the banner. Heat emboss with the Basic White embossing powder "thanks so much".
  3. Stamp in Garden Green 2 leaves and fussy cut them out. Stamp the stem in Crumb Cake
  4. Stamp in Pumpkin Pie the largest pumpkin about 3/4" from the bottom left of the Basic White.
  5. Stamp 3 medium Pumpkin Pie pumpkins on top of the first one, tilting one after the other. Stamp the smallest pumpkin on top.
  6. Stamp the cluster of leaves in Daffodil Delight all around the pumpkins, creating a falling look.
  7. Stamp the vines around the pumpkins with Garden Green (see video) and one leaf by the smallest pumpkin.
  8. Cut the stem and glue to the smallest pumpkin. Use glue dots to attach the leaves.
  9. Cut the end off the label and attach with dimensionals.
  10. Attach the Basic White with dimensionals to the cardbase.

This pumpkin patch just uses the Pumpkin Punch. We did stamp the saying but the pumpkins look amazing by just being punched out and a little crumbling to add texture to the pumpkin.

You can use your bone folder or just crumble it up in your hand to add the texture to the pumpkins.

Measurements
Basic Black Cardbase: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored @ 4 1/4"
DSP: 4" x 5 1/4"
Basic White: 2 1/4" x 3 1/2"
Basic Black: 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"
Pumpkin Pie: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Crumb Cake: 1/4" x 5"
Garden Green: 3" x 2"

Steps
  1. Measure, score, and cut your paper.
  2. Stamp in Memento Black onto the Basic White "a harvest of Blessings" on the top right corner. Glue to the Basic Black matte.
  3. Punch out in Pumpkin Pie 3 large pumpkins and 2 medium pumpkins. Use bone folder to curl the edges or crumble up the paper (see video).
  4. Punch out in Garden Green 5 leaves. Crumble them.
  5. Punch out in Crumb Cake 5 stems.
  6. Glue to the front of the large pumpkins the stems with liquid glue. Glue to the back of the medium pumpkins the stems.
  7. Attach the leaves with glue dots.
  8. Attach the 3 big pumpkins with glue dots. Attach the medium pumpkins with dimensionals.
  9. Attach the Basic Black/Basic White with dimensionals to the cardbase.
  10. Make a Baker's Twine bow and use a glue dot to attach to the large pumpkin on the left.

This card may be my favorite! I created a mask with the Sprig & Pumpkin Punch to create this fun background.

I used the sponge dauber on the pumpkin to create this fun two toned pumpkin look.

Measurements
Early Espresso Cardbase: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored @ 4 1/4"
Cajun Craze: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Very Vanilla: 4" x 5 1/4"
3" x 2"
3" x 4" scrap of cardstock any color (sprig mask)
2" x 2" (leaf mask)

Steps
  1. Measure, score, and cut your paper.
  2. Die cut with the Deckled Rectangles the Cajun Craze and the Very Vanilla.
  3. Stamp with Early Espresso the branch with leaves around the cardbase outer edges (see video).
  4. Ink up the medium pumpkin with Daffodil Delight and use the sponge dauber to add Cajun Craze to the bottom of the pumpkin. Punch out.
  5. Ink up the large pumpkin with Daffodil Delight and use the sponge dauber to add Pumpkin Pie to the center and Cajun Craze to the top. Punch out.
  6. Stamp two Crumb Cake stems and punch out. Glue to the back of the pumpkins and set aside.
  7. Using the Sprig punch and the 3" x 4" paper punch out the shapes and save the negative. Punch out the leaf from the Pumpkin Punch.
  8. Using the Blending Brush and Sponge Dauber with the masks, ink up the Very Vanilla Deckled Rectangle. Start with the Daffodil Delight only on the top. Use both Daffodil & Cajun for the center. Then use just Cajun for the bottom.
  9. Stamp with Pumpkin Pie the little dots to fill the gap. Don't re-ink the stamp each time to have different colors.
  10. Stamp with Early Espresso the branch, bird, and Halloween saying.
  11. Glue the Deckled Rectangles together and attach to the cardbase with dimensionals.
  12. Attach the pumpkins with dimensionals to the bottom left corner.

Lastly, I used the DSP and punch out an nontraditional pumpkin!

I just LOVE the leaves on this embossing folder, which can only be found on the Online Store.

Measurements
Lost Lagoon Cardbase: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored @ 4 1/4"
Lost Lagoon: 3" x 3"

  5. Wrap the Baker's Twine around the DSP strip and tie a bow. Use a glue dot to secure the bow. Attach DSP to card front with dimensionals.
  6. Attach the punch out pumpkin to the circles with dimensionals. Attach that with dimensionals over the DSP.
  7. Embellish with Rhinestones.

Tuesday's Tip at Ten- Join a Card Swap

My Tuesday's Tip at Ten for you is to join a card swap!!!
Below are many reasons why I highly recommend being a part one, two or many card swaps!

First, what is a card Swap? A card swap is when you make x amount of cards all in one design and trade them out for other cards and come back with x amount of cards in all different designs. Many times there is someone who organizes it and gives it a theme. The organizer collects the cards, comes up with a theme and rules,  usually keeping one of each card as "payment", and sends you back 10, 12, or 20+ new ideas.

I like to think of card swapping like the Costco of the crafting world. You get a "sample" of products before you decide to buy something new. Or get a taste of something you have but made in a different way. Same ingredients, different recipe.

Next you may be thinking, "Rachael, how do I join a card swap?" Great question! I usually swap with fellow Stampin' UP! demonstrators. I am part of the team swap (Queens), a Demo Swap (small group of friends in Utah), and Leaders Swap (large group of stampers from all over).

Another way to swap is through events. I swapped while I was at a Stampin' UP! event in Vegas. You can see those swaps when you click HERE. Or when I hold my Stamp Camps

I love swaps because I get new ideas, layouts, and even techniques that I may have never seen before.

Lastly, you can START a card swap! I was part of a swap in my early years and we used whatever paper products we had and were at all different skill levels. It was great! We would get together and make each other's card design.
Are you interested in swapping with me???

If you would like to participate in a swap with me please fill out this form by October 1st.

*Below are some cards from recent swaps I was a part of (videos soon to come).
