Double Feature Friday-Hot Air Balloon

 


It is Double Feature Friday! I have not one, but two Tutorials for you from the Stamp & Share Design Crew! 


Today they used the Hot Air Balloon Bundle! This is a set from the Mini Catalog but is carrying over!

Hot Air Balloon

Supplies:

 

·       Stamp Sets: Hot Air Balloon (162748)

·       Card Stock and Paper: Basic White Card Stock (CS) (159276); Bubble Bath Card Stock (161718); Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper (DSP) (162747)

·       Stamp Pads: Bubble Bath Ink (161664)

·       Tools: Hot Air Balloon Dies (162754); Everyday Details Dies (162864)

·       Miscellaneous: Rhinestone Basic Jewels (144220); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813)

 

Measurements:

 

·       Basic White CS 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” (scored at 8 ¼” on the long side; and 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”

And Scraps to diecut clouds

·       Bubble Bath CS: 3 5/8” x 4 7/8”

·       Lighter than Air DSP: 3 ½” x 4 ¾” and diecut balloons and baskets

 

Instructions:

 

1.     Adhere rectangle of Bubble Bath CS centered on the front of the Basic White Card base, then center the rectangle of DSP centered on top of the Bubble Bath CS.

2.     Cut the Largest rectangle from the Everyday Details dies from the center of the Basic White rectangle.  Stamp your sentiment near the bottom of this rectangle using the Bubble Bath Ink.  Pop this layer up centered on the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

3.     Adhere the die cut baskets to the bottom of the die cut hot air balloons and pop these up on Stampin’ Dimensionals as shown.

4.     Add clouds to the card using Tombow Liquid Glue and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (use picture for placement).

5.     Add three of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

·       Card Stock and Paper: Lemon Lolly (161720); Boho Blue (161724); Basic White (159276); Calypso Coral (122925); Petal Pink (146985); Crumb Cake (120953); Early Espresso (119686); Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper (162747)

·       Stamp Pads: Calypso Coral (147101)

·       Tools: Hot Air Balloon Dies (162754); Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder (161545); Stampin’ Blends Marker – Dark Balmy Blue (154830); Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine (149653);  

·       Miscellaneous: Baker’s Twine 3 Color Pack (162758); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755)

 

Measurements:

 

·       Lemon Lolly CS: 8½” x 5½”, scored at 4¼”

·       Basic White CS: 3¾” x 5”; ½” x 3½”

·       Boho Blue CS: 3½” x 4¾”

·       Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, and Crumb Cake CS: scrap for die cut

·       Lighter than Air DSP:  1” x 3½”; scrap for die cut

·       Blue Twine: 6”

 

 

Instructions:

 

1.     Crease Lemon Lolly CS for card base.

2.     Use the Twisted Rope 3D embossing folder to emboss the larger Basic White CS. Adhere to the card front.

3.     Die cut the clouds from the Boho Blue CS. Use dies or fussy cut some hot air balloon images from the Lighter Than Air DSP adhere to the Boho Blue CS. Outline with the dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend Marker. Trim any excess DSP around the Boho Blue CS. Adhere it to the center of the embossed Basic White CS.

4.     Adhere the Lighter than Air DSP strip to the card front. Stamp the sentiment onto the Basic White CS strip in Calypso Coral ink. Tie a bow around the Basic White CS strip and adhere it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

5.     Die cut the hot ail balloon from the striped Lighter Than Air DSP. Die cut the band from the Petal Pink CS, the decorative piece from the Calypso Coral CS, the rope outline from the Early Espresso CS, and the basket from the Crumb Cake CS. Assemble using the multipurpose liquid glue.

6.     Adhere the hot air balloon to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the upper part and just the Mulipurpose Liquid Glue on the basket.
