Measurements:

 

·       Card Base – Basic White CS 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded to 

5 1/2” x 4 1/4”

·       First layer – Basic Black CS  5 3/8” x 4 1/8”

·       Embossed Layer – Basic White CS 5 1/4” x 4”

·       Scraps of Calypso Coral CS, Melon Mambo CS, Gorgeous Grape CS, Peach Pie CS and Summer Splash CS

·       Goil Foil for flames -- 2” x 2” scrap

·       18” Black Baker’s Twine

 

Instructions:

 

1.     Cut/score all paper to sizes as noted above.

2.     Adhere the 5 3/8” x 4 1/8” Basic Black CS layer to the 5 1/2” x 4 1/4” Basic White CS card base – oriented horizontally. Set aside.

3.     Stamp “Celebrate” sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink at lower right

on 5 1/4” x 4” Basic White CS

4.     Emboss this sentiment layer using Painted Textures 3D Embossing Folder.

5.     Create the “candles” using the smaller frame die from Iconic Imagery dies, cut one each of Calypso Coral CS, Melon Mambo CS, Gorgeous Grape CS, Peach Pie CS and Summer Splash CS.

6.     Using the flame die, cut 5 flames from Gold Foil.

7.     Position and adhere the colored “candles” 1 1/2” up from the bottom edge of the 5 1/4” x 4” stamped/embossed panel and center the row horizontally. (Tip: Start with center candle, then add the outer candles to get even spacing.)

8.     With a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker draw short black lines for “wicks” out of the tops of each “candle”.

9.     Adhere a flame slightly above the top of each “candle” with a bit of “wick” showing.

10. Twice wrap and tie black Baker’s Twine around this layer.

11. To finish card, adhere this layer/panel (horizontally oriented) to the previously created white/black card based.
