Fun Fold Friday- Get Well Soon DSP Card

 

Fun Fold Friday with my Demo Swap Card! 

For Demo Swap they always have either a theme or a challenge. 

Here is what my July card had to include:

✔Fun Fold

✔Use New In Colors (Secret Sea & Cloud Cover)

✔Punch (To the Point Label Punch)

✔Water coloring (on the bowl/cup)

✔Get Well Soon (Mini alphabet dies)

This Fun Fold design I learned from the Creativity Now Stampin' UP! online event that happened in June. It uses Designer Series Paper as the cardbase and doesn't open the traditional style. 

I was able to watercolor on the cup/bowl to create that beautiful look. I used White Embossing Powder to create a "resist" look with the stamped image. 

I love how with this card you can see both sides of the DSP. 

This inside has a Basic White piece of cardstock to stamp on and finish the message.

Measurements

DSP Cardbase: 4" x 12" scored @ 2" & 7 1/2"

Basic White: 3 1/2" x 5"

Cloud Cover: 3" x 4", 

Secret Sea: 2" x 2" (punch), 4" x 5 1/2" (die cut)

Watercolor Paper: 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" 

Ribbon: 26 inches

Steps

1. Measure, score, and cut your paper. 
2. Die cut from the Secret Sea cardstock the letters for "Get Well Soon". 
3. Emboss the Cloud Cover with the Joined Together Embossing Folder. 
4. Using the Versamark, Heat Tool, and White Embossing powder, stamp the cup/bowl onto the watercolor paper. Let cool and then die cut out. 
5. Stamp on the Basic white for the inside with the Secret Sea the flower in the bottom left corner. Use the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to color in the flower with glitter and pulling some of the ink out of the stamped image.  Glue the "soon" to the top of the Basic White and glue to the inside of the DSP cardbase. 
6. Water coloring: Dip 4 clear blocks onto the edge of each In Color Ink pad (see video for visual reference). Use your water brush to dip into the ink and paint onto the cup/bowl that was heat embossed.  
7. Punch out the To the Point Label with the Secret Sea and attach the cup/bowl with Dimensionals. Attach the punch out shape with Dimensionals to the center of the embossed Cloud Cover. 
8. Glue the "Get" and "Well" onto the embossed paper. Put Dimensionals on the top back only and leave the center clear.
9. Wrap the ribbon around the closed card and place the Cloud Cover over the ribbon so that the ribbon can still slide around. 
10. Tie a bow and send to someone who needs a smile.
