Double Feature Friday with Easter card ideas!!!




Easter Basket Bundle

Supplies:

 

·       Stamp Sets: Easter Basket (166940); or as a discounted bundle with the Easter Basket Dies (166947)

·       Card Stock and Paper: Balmy Blue (146982); Summer Splash (163707); Basic White (166780); Easter Joy DSP (1669349)

·       Stamp Pads: Tuxedo Black Memento (132708); Summer Splash (163809)

·       Tools: Easter Basket Dies (166946); Stylish Shapes (159183)

·       Miscellaneous: Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (150673); Balmy Blue ¼” Gingham Ribbon (166952); Easter Assortment (166951); Blends: Gray Granite (154886); Pumpkin Pie (154897); Summer Splash (163826); Bubble Bath (161675); Lemon Lolly (161682); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Seal+ (149699); Bone Folder (102300)

 

Measurements:

 

·       Balmy Blue – 8 ½” x 5 ¼”, scored at 2 ¾” & 6 ¾” on long side, 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”

·       Basic White – 5 ½” x 4 ¼”, 5” x 3 ¾”, scraps

·       Summer Splash - scraps

·       DSP – 5” x 2 ½”, 5” x 1 ½”

 

 

Instructions:

 

1.     Card base is white 5 ½” x 4 1/4”.

2.     Valley fold blue cardstock on score lines.

3.     Tie a bow using blue checked ribbon around the top of larger DSP panel, positioning the bow towards the left side.

4.     Adhere DSP piece to front left blue cardstock panel.

5.     Adhere smaller DSP piece to front right blue cardstock panel.

6.     Die cut square from Stylish Shapes Dies (about 2 ¼” x 2 ¼”).

7.     Adhere blue square panel to left side of card front, using Dimensionals only on the left side of the square.

8.     Die cut Summer Splash cardstock grass.

9.     Use Bone Folder to loosen fibers on grass cardstock piece.

10. Adhere grass to bottom of blue square cardstock panel, using 2 small Dimensionals on ends of grass. Make a small arc in the grass to give it dimension when adhering.

11. Stamp bunny, carrot, and chick on scrap white cardstock, using Memento Black ink.

12. Stamp one more chick on 5 ¼” x 4” panel for the inside of card.

13. Color in using the following Blends: Gray Granite, Bubble Bath, Summer Splash, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lolly.

14. Die cut the bunny, carrot, and ONE of the chicks.

15. Adhere the die cut shapes to blue square cardstock, as shown, using Dimensionals.

16. Bend the bunny ear just a bit to give it some dimension.

17. Add some Easter Assortment Embellishments to card front.

18. Stamp Happy Easter on larger white panel, using Shy Shamrock ink.

19. Adhere to inside of card.

·       Stamp Sets: Seasonal Celebrations (167225), Reason to Celebrate (166905)

·       Cardstock and Paper: Pretty in Pink (163793), Lemon Lolly (161720), Basic White (166780), Easter Joy 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper or “DSP” (166939)

·       Ink: Secret Sea (165285), Pretty in Pink (163807)

·       Miscellaneous: Paper Trimmer (152392), Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897), Rhinestone Basic Jewels (144220), Multipurpose Liquid Glue or “glue” (110755), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Bone Folder (102300), sharp craft scissors

 

Measurements:

·       Pretty in Pink: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”, folded, and burnished with the Bone Folder

·       Lemon Lolly: 3-3/4” x 5”

·       DSP: 3-1/2” x 4-3/4”, 3-1/2” x ¾”

·       Basic White: ¾” x 1-3/4”, 2-1/4” x 3-1/4” (x2)

 

Instructions:

1.     Glue larger DSP panel to Lemon Lolly, glue DSP strip about 5/8” from the bottom edge of the larger DSP, and glue panel to card front.

2.     Stamp two bunnies with Pretty in Pink on Basic White. Add facial features with Secret Sea ink. Using scissors, fussy cut both bunnies.

3.     With Wink of Stella, lightly brush inside of bunny ears.

4.     Stamp “Easter” in Secret Sea so it’s flush right on the small Basic White piece then stamp “Happy” perpendicularly. Glue sentiment to horizontal DSP so it’s flush right to larger DSP.

5.     Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add both bunnies to card front.

6.     Add one small Rhinestone to each bunny’s nose. Add two more of different sizes as desired.
