Double Feature Friday- Birthday Cards

 


Double Feature Friday with Birthday Cards! 
Today is my Dad's Birthday! He would have been 69, but passed early this month. 
Sending him cards was one of my favorite things! 


This was my Dad from a couple of years ago...look at that smile! 
Make cards, but more importantly, don't forget to send them. It is like sending a smile! 

Below are two fabulous cards from the Stamp & Share Crew! 
These cards would be sure to make anyone smile! 




Relaxing Waterside

Supplies:

 

·       Stamp Sets: Relaxing Waterside Bundle (167928)

·       Cardstock and Paper: Peaceful Pine CS (167691); Basic White CS (166780); Waterside Retreat DSP (167920)

·       Stamp Pads: Peaceful Pine Ink (167679); Basic Beige Ink (163806)

·       Tools: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653); 1-3/4” Circle Punch (119850); Nested Essentials dies (161597); Linen Thread (104199); Natural Matte Dots (167510)

·       Miscellaneous: Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813)

 

Measurements:

 

·       Peaceful Pine Card Stock : 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, 2” x 3” scrap

·       Basic White Card Stock: 4-1/2” x 3-1/2”; 3-1/2” x 5”; 2” scrap (circle punch)

·       DSP: 4” x 5-1/4”, 3-1/4” x 4-1/4” (focal image)

·       Linen Thread: 14”

 

Instructions:

 

1.     Score Peaceful Pine CS at 4-1/4”. Fold in half and burnish with bone folder.

2.     Adhere DSP of choice to Peaceful Pine CS.

3.     Diecut Peaceful Pine scrap using banner die from Nested Essentials.

4.     Adhere focal point DSP to Basic White CS mat.

5.     Cut banner in half and adhere 1/2 to each end of the Basic White CS mat. (This gives the appearance that the banner is longer.)

6.     Adhere banner/mat to card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

7.     Stamp seagrass image using Basic Beige ink on Basic White scrap. Stamp sentiment using Peaceful Pine ink over seagrass image. Punch out with 1-3/4” circle punch.

8.     Tie Linen Thread bow and adhere to circle.

9.     Adhere circle/bow to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

10. Embellish as desired with Natural Matte Dots.

11. Adhere 3-1/2” x 5” Basic White cardstock to inside of card in order to write message.

Measurements:

·       Crisp Cantaloupe CS: 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”, scored at 4 1/4"

·       Basic White CS: 3 3/4” x 5”; 3 1/2” x 3 1/2"; 1/2” x 3 1/2”

·       Crisp Cantaloupe Two-Tone: 3 1/2” x 4 3/4"; 4” x 5 1/4" (inside layer)

·       Shimmering Stripes DSP: 2" x 5”

 

Instructions:

1.     Fold Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock (CS) on score line to form base.

2.     Emboss Crisp Cantaloupe Two-Tone Card Stock (CS) with Swirls of Magic EF.  Adhere to Basic White CS then adhere to card front.

3.     Adhere Shimmering Stripes DSP across card front as shown.

4.     Stamp “clap” image on DSP with Black Hybrid ink in middle as shown.

5.     Stamp flamingos on Basic White CS with Black Hybrid ink. Color with Flirty Flamingo (body, wings), Crisp Cantaloupe (legs, feet) and Barely Blush (beaks) Stampin’ Blends.  Fussy cut out and add to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

6.     Stamp sentiment on Basic White CS with Black Hybrid ink.  Banner the right side then stamp “Hey” on remaining piece and reverse banner cut the left side.  Add both to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

7.     Add 2026-2028 In Color Dots to card front.
