Wednesday Kit Class- Seaside Notions

For Wednesday's Kit Class I'm taking you to the beach! Since moving to California a year ago, we have gone to the beach many times. It was what kept us sane during Covid. So I made sure to get as many sea life or beach stamp sets so I could create what I have recently grown to love. Seaside Notions stamp set by ©Stampin' UP! is one of my favorites! The artist of this set speaks to my soul because these images and even fonts are spot on perfect. For this class I show you how to use every single stamp in the set and share some tricks and tip along with it. Real Newport Beach Seashells in the Jar

Measurements

Thick Whisper White Cardbase: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4

Crumb Cake: 1 3/4 x 5 1/4

Pool Party: 4 x 5 1/4

Steps

1. Cut and measure all of your cardstock. 
2. Run your Pool Party through My Boss using the Seaside Bed folder.
3. Stamp in Soft Suede "Happy Birthday" and stamp in Crumb Cake in Crumb Cake the little rocks pieces. Then tear the top of the Crumb Cake slowly, just removing the very top. 
4. Glueing only the bottom and edges of the Crumb Cake, attach to the Pool Party.
5. Use the Jar Punch, pushing it all the way up, and punch out both layers.
6. Next, look at each photo below for the last steps.

Measurements

Pretty Peacock Cardbase: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4

DSP: 4 x 5 1/4

Crumb Cake: 4 x 2 1/2

Steps

1. Measure and cut your card stock.
2. Run Whisper White through My Boss and using the Stitched Shapes to make an Oval.
3. Run the seaweed from the Smooth Sailing Dies in the Vellum.
4. Stamp your saying in the bottom left corner of the Crumb Cake using Soft Suede ink and stamp the pebble images in Crumb Cake ink on the right side. Then tear the top off at an angle. 
5. Stamp the Seahorse with versamark on Pretty Peacock and put white embossing powder over it and heat with heating tool. Fussy cut the Seahorse out. 
6. Glue on your DSP to the card base. Glue down your Crumb Cake piece to the bottom but don't put adhesive on the top so you can slide in your vellum seaweed. 
7. Attach your oval and Seahorse with dimensionals and embellish with rhinestones. 

I used a little water coloring with this one but kept it very simple.

Calypso Coral Cardbase: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Whisper White: 4 x 5 1/4

Cardstock: 2 1/2 x 2 1/2

DSP: 2 1/4 x 2 1/4

Steps

1. Measure and cut all your paper using your Paper Trimmer.
2. Stamp you saying in Calypso Coral on your Whisper White.
3. Stamp on Shimmery White paper the shell in Calypso Coral. Fussy cut it out. Use your Water Painter and pick up the ink from the shell and "paint" it. See video.
4. Glue your squares together and use dimensionals to attach to the Whisper White. Attach your shell with dimensionals and glue down the whole Whisper White to the Cardbase. 
5. Embellish if  you want, but I left mine simple this time. 

I used the Stampin' Blends for this Seahorse and a little Wink of Stella.

Pretty Peacock Cardsbase: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4

Pool Party: 4 x 5 1/4

Whisper White: 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 

Pretty Peacock: 3 7/8 x  2 1/2

Steps

1. Measure and cut all of your paper.
2. Run your Whisper White through My Boss to make the stitched circle.
3. Run your Pretty Peacock little piece through My Boss with the Seabed embossing folder (make sure to use the right plate sandwich when embossing 1 & 4).
4. Stamp in Pretty Peacock your saying on the bottom right corner. Stamp on a scrap of Whisper White your seahorse and shell in memento ink. Fussy cut them both out. Stamp on Crumb Cake using the Crumb Cake ink your sand dollar and fussy cut it out and crumble it. 
5. Then stamp on the stitched circle the coral reef in Just Jade and Pretty Peacock. Take a sponge and ink it up in either color and lightly sponge the bottom of the stamped reefs. 
6. Color your seahorse and shell using your Stampin' Blends. Use the light color first and go over the edges with the darker shade and then once more with the light color. 
7. Glue everything together onto the cardbase and attach your sea life creatures with dimensionals. 
8. Embellish with the champagne rhinestones.
