Harry Potter Cards with Suit & Tie Dies

This card was inspired with Harry Potter Fans in mind! I used the Suit & Tie Dies by Stampin' UP! To create this ionic look! Scroll down through each photo to see how I pieced this awesome card together.

Robes & Vest
Die cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Basic Black using the "V" shape die. Also create the sweater by die cutting the V in Smoky Slate. Then emboss the Smoky Slate sweater with the Subtles Embossing Folder.
*Not seen in the photo is an extra sweater step. You can make a small cut in the center and make a "Banner" cut. But you don't have to go all the way to the edge. You could even use the end of the "V" die and cut out another little V. See finished photo below to see this detail.

When you attach the Basic Black robe to the cardbase put glue only around the edges and leave the enter glue free. This will allow you to insert the sweater easier.

Lapels & Collar
Die Cut his lapels out of Cherry Cobbler and glue to his robe on the outside of the Center V.
Die cut in Basic White the collar and attach in mini dimensionals.

Tie
To create his tie you'll need:
4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Mango Melody
4 1/4 x 1/2 Mango Melody & Cherry Cobbler Stripes of cardstock
Glue the stripes of paper onto the Mango Melody. Wait just a little bit to make sure the glue is dry. Then use the Tie shape die to cut out the perfect tie. The tie knot is optional.

Then just glue on the tie with a glue dot and you've create a super amazing Harry Potter Card. You could stamp whatever greeting inside that you would like or even make this into an Party Invitation. Change up the colors and make different Hogwarts Houses.
