This might sound like crazy talk, but you can use your stamps for so much more than just cards. I know I focus and share a lot of cards with you, but I hope you are using your stamps for MORE than just cards. Below are two example of items I've recently made for the Spring Boutique I'll be selling at.
#TuesdaysTipatTen
Scrunchie
My daughter and I made homemade scrunchies (see below for quick directions on how to make those) and attached it with SU retired ribbon, a tag we made out of retired paper, and used a retired punches. This makes that scrunchie "gift ready". Now someone can give this to someone else with a little note on the back of the tag or say who it is from.
Earrings
The earring holder we made put die cutting out the label from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (link below). Then we stamped a fun Easter image and used our tiny hole punch to make a spot for the earrings. I LOVE the way these turned out and have different pairs all ready to go. (The earrings we didn't made and found on Amazon for a great deal, 20 for $17).
Link to Dies
Here are all the shapes in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
I also made earrings for the ladies I visit and used the Pretty Perennials stamp set for the clover and the saying is from Heartfelt stamp set!
- Cut your fabric by 22 x 4.
- Sew wrong sides together along the long side only to create a tube. Flip it back to so the right sides are showing.
- Cut 9 inches of elastic and thread through the fabric tube. *Use 2 safely pins attached to the elastic to help thread through. One attach to the bottom of the tube and one to stick inside to use as a threader.
- Tie the elastic ends together into a knot (like a knot on the end of a balloon).
- Either hand stitched it closed or use your machine with a zig zag stitch. Be sure to tuck you unfinished ends under before sewing.
Happy Stampin' Everyone!!!
