Merry Monday- For Unto Us

 

Merry Monday cards with the Stamp Set, For Unto Us and Designer Series Paper, Tidings of Christmas.  Today's cards are made with scraps of DSP that I've used from past projects and were made with the intent to be easy and fast. I am about 60 cards shy of my Christmas sending out goal this year and I am need some easy cards. Below are my tips on how to use the scraps of paper of what you have and how to change up the look a little bit by arrangement and the measurements! 

First, for these cards a matte is a must! My matte measures at 4 x 5 1/4. The matte is a simple added piece of paper but really finishes it off to make it look more complete. 

Secondly, I knew my DSP needed to add up to 3 3/4 x 5. So I played with the numbers that could go into 5 evenly. There are lots of combos of sizes but below are 2 that I came up with. Then it is up to you in what order you put them in. Biggest DSP on bottom (card on the left) or the Biggest DSP in center (card on the right).

Lastly, die cut or punch out a shape to stamp onto. I used the Tasteful Touches Labels and just turned the same label so it would fit both my messages. Then embellish just a little!  I used the Wonderful Gems which come in a red and gold colors.

Paper- Evening Evergreen, Thick Basic White

Ink- Evening Evergreen

Measurements

Thick Basic White: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4

Evening Evergreen Matte: 4 x 5 1/4

DSP: 3 3/4 x 5 (cut into 3 different layers)

Steps

1. Measure, score, and cut your paper. 
2. Die cut a Basic White label with the Tasteful Touches Label Dies. 
3. Stamp your greeting onto your label in Evening Evergreen. 
4. Glue your DSP pieces in any order onto your matte. 
5. Glue your matte to the cardbase.
6. Attach the label with dimensionals. 
7. Embellish with 3 Wonderful Gems.
