Wonderful Wednesday- Let's Set Sail

Learn how to make the background using 2 inks to make the sand and ocean at the same time. 


When we think of beaches we usually think about seashells and sand BUT I am here to show you that you will find rocks and pebbles all over in the sand as well! This photo was taken in Oceanside in California, just North of San Diego. Look at all of those rocks!!!

Supplies
Sailboat Builder Punch
Paper- Basic White, Early Espresso, Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay
Ink-Versamark, Night of Navy, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Pebbles Enamel Shapes
White Embossing Powder
Heat Tool
Blending Brush
Adhesives: Dimenionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Measurements
Thick Basic White Cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4
Bermuda Bay: 4 x 5 1/4
3 x 1
Basic White: 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
2 1/2 x 2 1/2
Night of Navy: 2 5/8 x 2 5/8


Steps
  1. Measure, score and cut your paper with the paper trimmer.
  2. Put the Gentle Waves stamp onto a F clear block and ink up the bottom 1/4 with Crumb Cake and the top Pool Party. Stamp onto the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White. 
  3. Punch out the Early Espresso center of the sailboat. 
  4. Stamp the sails in Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy. 
  5. Stamp in Pool Party onto the Basic White square on the bottom to create the water (stamp off first). Stamp a cloud in the same color. Clean stamp and use the Daffodil Delight ink to make the sun in the right top corner. 
  6. Stamp in Early Espresso the birds. 
  7. Use Versamark, White Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool to stamp the saying onto the Bermuda Bay strip. Use the banner punch on one end of the Bermuda Bay.
  8. Assemble: Glue the Basic White to the matching Bermuda Bay matte and attach to the cardbase front. Glue the Night of Navy matte to the Basic White Square and attach with dimensionals. Attach the sails and center of the boat with dimensionals. Attach the label with dimensionals. 
  9. Embellish with the Pebble Enamel Shapes on the bottom corner of the card.
