Tuesday's Tip at Ten- How to Make Ink Water Splatter Marks

Tuesday's Tip at Ten is how to help you make your own ink water splatter marks!!!

There are many ways to do this but this is just one method that works for me.
Supplies Needed
Ink
Clear Block
Bone Folder

  1. Ink up a clear block by putting in face down into a ink pad and then lifting up and placing face up on your work space OR close your ink pad and squish it together so that the ink transfers to the lid just a little bit.
  2. Fill your water painter with water and hold it upside and squeeze until water starts coming onto the brush and the brush is wet.
  3. Dip the brush into the ink "puddle" and swirl around. Squeeze some water out into it, if you want a not as dark color.
  4. Grab your bone folder and tap the Water Painter right below the brush part holding it over the paper you want to splatter.
  5. Hold it high if you want little splats. Hold it low if you want larger splats.
  6. Tap as many times as you want until it reaches the desired look.
  7. Wash off clear block under water and dry with paper towel.
*You can substitute ink pad with ink refill and just drop a couple of drops onto a clear block.
