The Joy of Stampin' with Rachael: Paula Skeen's Online Fun Fold Cards Class

This last week I was really lucky and was able to sign up for Paula Skeen's Online Fun Fold Class. She is a fellow Queens of the Stamp Age stamper and I have love getting to know her over the past two years. She is also a very talented card maker and is a retired teacher, so I knew her class would be amazing! Below are all the cards we created and the gifts she sent! She was very generous with the embellishments and sent along the must have adhesives (glue dots, seal, and dimensionals). Unlike other online classes I've been to, she didn't have a set stamp set for you to use, but had to use what you had available OR if you lived near her she we lend out her stamps so you could stamp what was needed for the class. Such a great idea as it allowed for some GREAT variety.

Christmas Cards

Here is a Christmas Card we made using the Poinsettia Dies.

The felt Poinsettia is attached to the inside of the card base and hangs over the front of the card for the main feature of the card.

Once you lift it up you can see the So Many Stars and Celebration Tidings stamps that I used to finish the card.

Here is a playful Christmas card using the Have a Hoot stamp set! This card has an extra little mini card on the front where a love note for Christmas could be written.

Valentine's Card/Love

This fun fold card is pretty awesome and has lots of details to it! She had punched out to hearts (one in vellum and one in the pink). She embossed the heart and had us stamp in the inside with the Heartfelt Stamp set. Then we used the window sheet to create a floating look to the center piece! Such a WOW card for sure! She even added some of the brand new Oh Ombre Sale-a-bration DSP that isn't available to the public until January 5th.

Manly Cards

This Pop and Twist card shows of the In Good Taste DSP really well and would make for a great Manly Card to make and send.

Animal Cards

She had us make this fun Pampered Pets card using the Playful Pets DSP as the main feature. We even learned a "Paula hack" on how to make the bow look like it is going through the bone.

Floral/Plant Life Cards

This fun fold card is all about the Forever Greenery DSP and the shaker element we created on the inside! Such beautiful colors and great dies to finish it off.

This fun fold using the Love of Leaves and the Stitched Leaves Dies comes with a belly band that is full of leaves. Then it slides off to reveal the Plaid Tidings DSP in an accordion fold out. I loved this one!

Paula used a different stamp set for this "envelope" like card. So I got to choose and picked the Timeless Tropical Stamp set! The pairing of the purple and pinks from this paper is really pretty and I loved learning how to make this one.
