Manly Monday- Handsomely Suited Cards

Today's Four Manly Monday includes a sneak peek into the Mini Catalog for Jan-June of 2021! I was able to order these order as a Stampin' UP! Demonstrator who attended the Onstage at Home in November. Once I saw these I knew I had to get them. Then there was an amazing Demo from the UK who shared tips and her samples with us and I loved it even more! Scroll down to see the stamp set and dies and the dates in which this set is available!

All four cards using the same DSP (Well Suited) which makes the perfect suit jacket look. I added one gold and changed out the pockets designs and button colors (basic black or basic gray) on some.

The red tie cards used the bottom of the tie stamp twice and die cut out to make the handkerchief pocket. I just trimmed off the bottom and attached with a glue dot to raise it just a little bit. I also stamped the tie before die cutting it out.

Tip: Use glue dots to attach the collar to make it pop a little. The collar is very fragile so be careful.

Close up view of these cards.

The Gold tie card tie was just cut out and I cut out the top knot of the tie as well. For the pocket handkerchief you die cut the bottom corner of the pocket twice and trim to fit the pocket size. I used a glue dot on the top of the pocket it to raise it a little bit and liquid glue on the bottom.

This Gold Foil really helps make it look fancy!

Assembling Tips
  1. Cut DSP to match the whole front of your card. 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (Be mindful of the direction of your stripes).
  2. Stamp your tie and then die cut everything out first. Be sure the "V" shape for the white shirt and to cut out the front of the suit. Have the "V" shape go to the very edge of DSP to cut it clean off. Otherwise you will need paper snips to finish the cut.
  3. Glue on your suit Lapels first (die cut them at a different angle then the suit) to the suit front.
  4. Glue on your jacket to the cardbase but put glue only on the outer edges of suit and NOT at the shoulders. You'll be making like a pocket.
  5. Glue dot your collar on. Then only putting glue at the knot of the tie, glue it on.
  6. Slide the collar/tie/white shirt piece into place with just a little bit of glue. Then glue down the shoulders of the suit to the cardbase.
  7. Pocket: Choose either full pocket or hidden pocket look. Choose for handkerchief either two ends of the pocket or two ends of a stamped tie. Attach handkerchief with 2 glue dots.
  8. Use a dot of liquid glue for your buttons and use your take a pick tool to help you place them on straight.

Available December 1st for Demonstrators
Available January 5th for Customers
Great Masculine Stamp set with sayings for all year round.

Build your own suit with these dies and choose between bow tie or tie and even add some suspenders. I've seen a Dress top and Short sleeve shirt made with these dies as well!
