Miss Monday Cards-Hearts & Kisses Lipstick Card

Miss Monday Cards with the soon to be retiring stamp set, Hearts & Kisses! This stamp set was really popular around Valentine's Day but can be used for so much more! I just added Birthday Greeting from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set and used a patriotic color scheme for Memorial Day (today).

This stamp set comes with a fun "lipstick" markings and I stamped them in two different directions!

Don't forget to stamp the inside of your card in the very corner to help carry over the theme.

I used dimensionals to pop up the center saying!

Throwback Thursday- Sale-a-bration Stamps

Throwback Thursday today was inspired by a card request from my Father. I was asked to make some thank you cards for everyone who attended the Zoom Memorial for my Grandma who passed away last year. We were hoping to be able to be in person to throw her celebration of life and share stories, but it was best to still be on Zoom. For the Memorial a program (which my Grandma had picked out before) was sent to everyone attending. So when thinking of thank you card designs to make I knew I wanted it to be similar to the program cover and to use some of her favorite colors to wear.

I used a notecard (precut and prescored) and used 2 Sale-a-bration stamp sets from Jan-Feb Sale-a-bration. I used the Corner Bouquet and the A Touch of Ink stamp sets. I used used some retired ink colors: Wisteria Wonder, Blueberry Bushel, and Wild Wasabi. I also used the wink of Stella for some flicks of glitter and the So Saffron to add just a touch of yellow. I used my blending brush to add even more green to the bottom.

I really love how these turned out and that I can make one more thing for my Grandma.

Tuesday's Tip at Ten-Marking Your Stamps

Have you ever had a stamp set with 2 step stamping and you found it hard to stamp the "color in" image? That was me with the Color & Contour stamp set. Because it is a flower with simple petals all around (but not the same) I couldn't line it up right or would do the "spinning" thing. Where you hold it over the image and keep on spinning the block around (without stamping) trying to see where to place it. Well not anymore!!! I just found where they line up and used a pink sharpie and MARKED my stamp. I know, crazy, right!!! I just picked a spot (the heart shape petal) and put a little dot underneath it (not on the actual stamp but on the photopolymer around it). I even marked my die at the same spot!!! I can't tell you how happy this made me and how easy it is for me to stamp now with this stamp set.

Can you see the mark? It is small but so important!

Here is the image of the stamp set so you can see the 2 step stamping a little better. Hope this helps you stamp more successfully each time and happier!

Miss Monday Cards-Color & Contour Happy Birthday

Miss Monday Cards using the Color & Contour stamp set. I really wanted to keep this card simple and needed to master the two step stamping for this flower. But because I'm me, I changed it up just a little bit but stamping some on a scrap of basic white and die cutting it out. Then I attached it with dimensionals to make it pop up more. It is hard to tell in the photo below but in person it really does give it a nice look!

Left is stamped directly on to the paper and right is stamped, die cut, and then attached to the card with dimensionals.

When stamping 3 images like this start with your outside images first and then your center IF you have room. If you think you don't have the space for all there images, stamp you center one first and then the others can hang over the edge.

I used Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, and Flirty Flamingo for my floral images. I also used the "Happy Birthday" from the Party Puffin Stamp set.

Here is a close up to the flower so you can see how they "pop up" by using dimensionals.
You can make these Miss Monday cards too by shopping at my online store and following the steps below.

  2. Stamp 3 flowers on your Basic White or onto a scrap piece of basic white to die cut out.
  3. Stamp the inside of the flowers with 3 different colors (Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, & Flirty Flamingo).

Throwback Thursday-Miss U Tags

Because I live in a Military Housing Community, people are always coming and going. I had found the perfect gift to give to those who are going and just need a cute tag to attach to the bag. So I grabbed my retired Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, retired cardstock, my retired embossing folders, and some ribbon (that is very retired) and created these cute "Miss U" tags.

I did use the current letter dies, Playful Alphabet, to create the saying. I love how the "U" is the missing part on this tag but is still there!!!

I attached the tag by tying the ribbon into knots on it. The tag it self was a 4 1/4 x 2 inch piece of cardstock in 2 colors. Emboss the top color and cut out the "U" at the end. Attach one tag onto the other with dimensionals and staple on the ribbon.

I hope this inspires you to make cute tags for gifts you give and to use some of your favorite retired items to do so!

Not all hats need to be manly looking. I made this girly card using the DSP from the Pattern Party Paper and added bling with some champagne rhinestones.

Ornate Floral Embossing Folder

I created this hat with 2 different looks. One I stamped in Misty Moonlight the hat first and then die cut it out. The other one I just die cut the the hat out of the DSP. Both look awesome for different reasons!
