Fun Fold Friday- Sweet Farewell Secret Message Card

Every handmade card has a little magic in it but this one has extra fun feature with a "secret message".
Dawn Griffith made a video 11 years ago and shared this magic card with everyone then and I hope you can enjoy it again now too!

I got this stamp set during the Cling Stamp Set Sale because A) it was on my wish list and B) I love the sayings more than anything.

By making "special" cuts it create a way to reveal a secret message that you don't see when you first open the card. How cool is that?

Watch this quick video to see it in action and watch the video at the bottom to see how I made this card.

Wonderful Wednesday- Paper Pumpkin Peaceful Christmas Bonus Cards

Wonderful Wednesday with Paper Pumpkin's Peaceful Christmas Stamp Set. Today I am showing you how to "mirror" the cards you get in your Paper Pumpkin kit by using supplies from Stampin' UP! catalogs.

Here is what the cards looked like in the kit. This kit is sold out and there are no refills, but this layout was too great to not make more with.  Below are the list of supplies I used but you can substitute for punches or dies that you have available.

Supplies
Paper Pumpkin Peaceful Christmas Stamp Set
Word Wishes Dies
Majestic Mountain Dies
Layering Circle Dies
Tasteful Label Dies
Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder
White Twine
Holiday Rhinestones
Mossy Meadow Ink & Craft White Ink
Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper

Vellum
Silver Foil Paper

Always Recommended
Paper Snips
Trimmer
Simply Shammy
Die Cutting Machine
Bone Folder
Adhesives: Tombow, Tear Tape, Seal, & Dimensionals

For this one I changed the shade of green and used "Christmas" instead of "Noel".

Be sure to stamp the inside to match the front and to add a center saying.

Measurements
Mossy Meadow Cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4
DSP: 3 3/4 x 5
2 5/8 x 7/8
Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4
Cherry Cobbler: 3 1/2 x 1/2

Steps
  1. Measure, score and cut your paper.
  2. Stamp in Mossy Meadow you trees onto the DSP and to the corner of the Basic White (stamp inside greeting now too).
  3. Die cut 4 vellum trees.
  4. Die cut Christmas with the Silver Foil paper.
  5. Banner the ends of the Cherry Cobbler and glue to the 2 5/8 x 7/8 DSP.
  6. Attach the 3 3/4 x 5 DSP with dimensionals.
  7. Glue on the vellum trees over the stamped trees.
  8. Attach the DSP & banner with dimensionals over the vellum.
  9. Glue on Christmas and dot the "i" with a rhinestone.
  10. Embellish with rhinestones.

If you don't have the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder you could always use the paper, Peaceful Place to create an even more similar look. This kit was made to coordinate with that paper.

Here is a sample of the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper.

This layout is very simple and could be used with any stamp set and DSP. I used the Pattern Party and the Heartwarming Hugs DSP.

Here is a close up of the snowflakes. I just love how subtle this looks, but if you want the snowflakes to really slow use White Embossing powder instead.

Measurements
Pool Party Cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4
Pool Party: 4 x 5 1/4
Cherry Cobbler: 3 1/2 x 1/2

Steps
  1. Measure, score, and cut your paper.
  2. Emboss your Pool Party with the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder.
  3. Die cut a circle from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP.
  4. Die cut a label in Basic White from the Tasteful Label Dies.
  5. Stamp in Mossy Meadow you saying onto the Basic White.
  6. Banner the ends of the Cherry Cobbler (see video).
  7. Use White Craft Ink to sponge over the embossed image and stamp snowflakes on the top and over the trees.
  8. Assemble: Glue on the embossed paper to the cardbase. Glue on the DSP circle. Glue the Cherry Cobbler over the DSP. Attach the label with dimensionals.
  9. Embellish with Holiday Rhinestones.

Tuesday's Tip at Ten- Stamping Backgrounds

Tuesday's Tip at Ten is a Stamping Backgrounds tip! When you are stamping to create a fun background, you don't have to stamp it all. Avoid stamping the spots that you know will be covered. I left my center completely bare for this card which saves time and ink.

If you want to see how I made this card you can visit my Miss Monday post here.

Onstage at Home Box

As part of Onstage at Home we got sent a BEAUITFUL box full of fun things for Onstage.
If you don't want to see, please skip this post, because it is full of spoilers!

The inside of the box is just a beautiful as the box it self. Here is the top of the inside of the box.

Inside was a cute tote, notebook, pack of pencils, collectors pins, grid paper, and best of all, a new stamp set!

As a Leader I get invited to a special event called Centre Stage! They sent gifts for this event to help organize my craft room!!! I just love it and love how it matches the Onstage box!

Here is a close up to the pins and the flip side of that cute tote!

Miss Monday- Penguin Place Birthday Cards

Miss Monday cards with the Penguin Place stamp set and Penguin Builder Punch.
The punch is currently unavailable but the stamp set is here and amazing!!!

Usually you think of Christmas when you think of this stamp set found in the Holiday Mini Catalog but with the balloon and "happy birthday" stamps you can create this cute card!

I used the Flirty Flamingo for this shade of pink but you could make this card in any color you have in your craft stash!

I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out the piece of Basic White but you could cut a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White instead if you don't have those.

This one I stamp in the Costal Cabana ink and use it to stamp the penguins eyes.

Give these cute penguins a try and order your stamp set before the end of December.
