Fun Fold Friday card is a Mini Gift Bag that is a Gift Card Holder. It only seemed fit that my last Fun Fold Friday is with the "Sweet Farewell" stamp set that will be retiring on May 2nd (next week). This set is GREAT for those who are graduating this year!
This Fun Fold could be used with any of Stampin' UP! 12 x 12 DSP and stamp sets however. There is even a way you can make it with 6 x 6 DSP as well.
For the front of the card I created a cute paper airplane background with the Soft Seafoam ink. Then stamped the suitcase in Memento Ink and colored it with Stampin' Blends. I fussy cut that out and added it to the front with dimensionals. I used the Tailored Made Tags for my Bon Voyage.
Once you open up the card you can see where the gift card could fit.
Open it all the way up and the mini bag comes to a full stand! This card is way easier then it looks. Be sure to watch my video below to get a better idea how it all comes together.
Mint Macaroon Cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4
Daffodil Delight: 3 3/4 x 5
Basic White: 3 3/4 x 5
3 5/8 x 4 7/8
DSP: 3 x 11
scored on the 11 side @ 1/2, 1, 5, 5 1/2, 6, 10, 10 1/2
scored on the 3 side @ 3/8 on bottom
3 x 1/2 scrap times 2 (leftover from the 3 x 12)
Steps for Bag
Measure, score and cut your paper.
For the DSP bag you'll need to trim off each corner to the 2nd score line and in the center between the 3 score lines. Miter the tabs. Use image above as a reference.
Place Tear Tape on the inside of the DSP on one end and on the bottom tabs on the outside of the bag (do not remove the backing yet).
Hold the bag together with out removing the Tear Tape and punch holes at the top for the twine handles. Have it go through both sides at the same time.
Thread through 5 inches of twine to both sides. Put Tear Tape on the back of the DSP scrap and cover the ends of the twine. Do this for both sides.
Remove the backing to the end of the bag and attach together.
Remove one backing on the bottom tab and place on the the inside of the card on the right side of the score line (see video). Remove the backing to the other tab and close the card onto it.
Steps for Card Front
Stamp onto your 4 7/8 x 3 5/8 Basic White in Soft Seafoam the paper airplane.
Die cut a Tailor Made Tag in Soft Seafoam and stamp on it with Mint Macaron.
Stamp in Memento Ink the suitcase onto a scrap of Basic White and color with your Stampin' Blends. Fussy cut suitcase out with your paper snips.
Glue your Daffodil Delight matte to your stamped Basic White and attach to the front of the cardbase.
Attach the suitcase with dimensionals and attach the tag.
Throwback Thursday with some tags I made for my friends order. She uses these tags to put on your honey she sells locally in Logan, Utah.
On each tag I used something current and something retired.
These super cute American Flag tags were made using the Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper and Sports Event Dies. I also used the retired Tag Topper Punch for the top. I cut the DSP and Very Vanilla into a 2" x 3 1/2" and the Night of Navy 1" x 1 3/4".
For these Soft Suede football tags I used the retired For The Win stamp set and paired with the Tailored Made Tags.
Everything I used to make these tags are retired, the Apple Builder Punch, the Harvest Hellos stamp set, and the Tag Topper. The one thing that is current and even Brand New is the "Made with Love" from the Limited Edition available May 3rd.
Hope you love this tags and are inspired to use your old and new!

Stampin' UP! has a great tool to help clean your stamps. It is called the Simple Shammy. It is a 5 x 7 purple piece of foam material that you get damp with water and can rub your inked stamps onto to clean.
Here are my top 5 reason why I think you should cut yours!
1). Travel Friendly: The smaller it is the easier it is to throw into your craft bag and take it to go!
2). Hand Held: This 3 x 3 size can fit into your hand so much easier and you don't need a clear case to store it in and use it.
3). Getting Wet: Once this size it is easier to get wet and squeeze out the water.
4). Better to Share: Having lots of friends over to stamp or even a stamp party? By cutting it means you can share it easier and have it at multiple locations through out your area.
5). Cleans Better & Last Longer: I'm a true believer that sometimes the smaller you are the mightier you can be. This mini size I feel gets a better clean as I can hold it to my stamp and not only bring the stamp to it. Also, the Simple Shammy can last for a long time but think how much longer it will last when it is divided into smaller pieces. Use each piece just one at a time and replace your over used one with a fresh one!
I hope this has got you thinking about the Stampin' UP! Simple Shammy and why you should cut yours! It doesn't matter how small you cut it (that is up to you). I made some 3 x 3 and others 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 and I store mine in the soon to be retiring 3 1/8 x 3 1/8 acetate box that is on sale through May 3rd.
Miss Monday with the stamp set from the April Paper Pumpkin Kit, Change is Beautiful. This kit was full of Fun Folds and Moonlight to Sun images. See what you can make with this kit by visiting my blog post here.
But when I saw the stamp set for this kit had a caterpillar, small butterfly and a BIG butterfly I knew I had to use it with the Give It A Whirl Dies. Because these dies are great for creating "stories".
First we see the cute little caterpillar through the window. Then with a little turn you'll see...
...the little butterfly comes next.
Followed by the BIG butterfly full of color and little Wink of Stella!!!
I paired the saying, "Beautiful things take time" and used the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems to embellish!
You can make this card too with your Paper Pumpkin kit stamp set and when you order the supplies below from my online store!

Fun Fold Friday with this amazing Kite Fold Card! I made this one into a Mother's Day Card by stamping on the cloud but you honestly could make this Fun Fold into any occasion with the Celebrating You stamp set!
This stamp set came out in the Mini January to June catalog and will be sticking around in the New Annual Catalog coming out on May 3rd.
I've added a traditional cardbase to this card but you could make the kite and it alone could be your card.
The kite is held closed with adhesive backed magnet dics (found on Amazon). Once open there is a spot you can write on or stamp another saying.

Tuesday's Tip at Ten is a Hanging Brown Sack for Trash!
One thing is true about Stamping, it can get messy. From the backs of dimensionals to the scraps of little paper, you will always have a need for a trash can to be close by.
Well to make clean up easy, you can tape a brown paper sack to the edge of your stamp desk or table and just slide all your trash straight into there! Once it gets pretty full or too heavy, just remove from the edge and throw the whole thing away! This is a great way to encourage cleaning while you go.
Now ask me, how many trash "cans" do I have in my small space???

WABFCBZQ
You only have to order the stamp set, but if you order the bundle (with the Tulip Dies) you'll save 10%.
I wanted to show many ways on how you could use the stamp set and dies. So I have created 4 cards with different methods; Cardstock flowers, Designer Series Paper flowers, just stamping (no dies), and one featuring the mini tulips dies.
Thick Basic White Cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4
Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4 (to die cut)
2 x 2 (die cut)
Poppy Parade: 4 x4
Pear Pizzaz: 4 x 4
Steps
Measure, score and cut your paper.
Die cut the Basic White starburst circle and the Stitched with Rectangles in Basic White.
Die cut your Poppy Parade Flowers, your Pear Piazza stems and leaves, and mini square cut outs out of the Basic White Stitched Rectangle using the Tulip Dies.
Stamp in Memento Ink the saying onto the starburst.
Watch the video to SEE how to assemble the cardstock tulips.
Attach the tulips with dimensionals and slide under with glue only on the top of the stem the stem to each flower. Glue down the leaves under the stems.
Wrap 6 inches of the Black and White Gingham ribbon twice around the stems and tie a knot.
Attach the stitched rectangle with dimensionals and the starburst circle with dimensionals.
